Very little. We built TRY for Nigerian networks, so a typical ride costs you only a few megabytes. It keeps working on a weak 3G signal, and if your line drops in the middle of a trip the app reconnects on its own without losing your ride.
If your phone runs Android 8 or newer, or iOS 13 or newer, you are good. TRY is a light app that runs well on entry level Android phones. You do not need to buy a new device to ride or to drive.
Cash fares stay in your pocket at the end of the trip. Wallet fares land in your TRY wallet the moment the ride is completed, and you withdraw to your own bank account whenever you want. No waiting for a payday, no office queue. You verify your BVN once, save your bank details, and every withdrawal after that is a few taps.
Every driver is identity verified with their NIN and a face match before they can accept a single ride, and you see their name, photo, plate number and rating before they reach you. Your whole trip is tracked live, and both you and your driver confirm the ride has ended before any money moves.
