TRY Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of the TRY app, operated by Novapath Technologies Limited (“Novapath,” “we,” “us”), a company incorporated in Nigeria. By creating a TRY account, you agree to these Terms.

1. What TRY is

TRY is a technology platform that connects riders who need a tricycle (Keke) trip with independent drivers willing to provide one, in Onitsha and (as we expand) other parts of Anambra State and Nigeria. Novapath does not own, lease, or operate any tricycles, and does not employ drivers. Drivers are independent operators who use the TRY app to find passengers. TRY is not a transport carrier — we provide the matching, navigation, and payment technology that connects riders and drivers.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract under Nigerian law to use TRY, as either a rider or a driver.

3. Accounts

• Accounts are tied to a phone number, verified by SMS OTP at sign-up. You're responsible for keeping access to that phone number secure.
• One account per phone number per role. Don't create accounts on behalf of someone else without their knowledge.
• You can delete your account at any time from within the app.

4. Using TRY as a rider

• When you request a trip, TRY broadcasts your request to nearby available drivers; the first to accept is matched with you.
• The fare shown at request time is an estimate; the final fare is confirmed by the driver at trip completion and may differ slightly.
• You may pay by wallet balance or cash, where the driver allows it.
• You agree to treat drivers respectfully and not to request trips you don't intend to take.

5. Payments and wallet

• TRY charges a 10% commission on every completed trip.
• Wallet top-ups and driver withdrawals are processed through our payment partner, Monnify. TRY does not store your card or bank login details.
• Wallet balances are not interest-bearing and are not a bank deposit.
• Driver withdrawals are typically processed promptly but are not guaranteed instantaneous.
• All amounts are in Nigerian Naira (₦).

6. Driver eligibility and conduct

To register as a driver, you must provide a valid NIN, a valid tricycle, a clear photo of the tricycle's plate number, and a valid driver's license; hold any local government levies, permits, or licenses required to operate (TRY does not obtain, pay, or guarantee these on your behalf); be the person whose photo, name, and details appear on your TRY driver profile; and drive safely, follow applicable traffic laws, and not discriminate against riders. TRY reviews driver applications (KYC) before approval and may reject or suspend a driver account at our discretion.

7. Prohibited conduct

You may not use TRY to harass or endanger another user; commit fraud (including fake trips, GPS spoofing, or wallet manipulation); circumvent TRY's commission by arranging payment outside the app for a trip booked through TRY; or use the platform for any unlawful purpose.

8. Liability

TRY is a matching and payments technology platform. To the maximum extent permitted by Nigerian law, we are not liable for the acts or omissions of independent drivers or riders, we do not guarantee that a driver will be available for any given trip request, and our liability for any claim related to the platform itself is limited to the amount of the disputed transaction. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under Nigerian law.

9. Dispute resolution

If you have a complaint about a trip, fare, or payment, contact us first at info@novapath.ng so we can investigate using trip and ledger records.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as TRY grows. We'll notify you in-app of material changes before they take effect.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
